Umoya means ‘spirit’ or ‘soul’ and this bright, airy and minimalist lodge is a space where your soul can feel free. The modern exterior lets in plenty of sunshine and showcases the wildlife photography and sleek furnishings. Umoya is a fenced lodge.
Accommodation
There are five rooms at Umoya in the Black Rhino Private Game Reserve, including two that can combine to be a family unit. All rooms are large and are connected to the main area by walkways. A mobile spa means you can enjoy treatments and therapies in the comfort and privacy of your own room.
Activities
As a guest at Umoya, you can opt for game drives, nature walks (subject to guide availability), birding and photographic safaris to get that once-in-a-lifetime shot.
Location
Umoya Safari Lodge is in Black Rhino Private Game Reserve, an exclusive area of Pilanesberg National Park. Only guests can enter Black Rhino and no self-driving is permitted.
Directions:
Take the N4 out of Johannesburg and turn off onto the R556 towards Sun City. Pass Sun City and continue until you can take a right turn onto the R565. Follow this road for 28km / 17mi until you get to the gate of the Black Rhino Reserve. Check-in at the gate to arrange your pickup.
