Intro

Ivory Tree Game Lodge lies in a natural amphitheatre surrounded by mountains and immersed in riverine woodlands that are dissected by ancient elephant trails. In the northeastern part of the Pilanesberg, Ivory Tree covers an oasis of luxury in one of South Africa’s favourite wilderness areas. A large pool, the Amani African Spa, outdoor dining and spectacular game viewing make for the perfect holiday.

Ivory Tree Game Lodge is situated in one of South Africa’s largest wildlife sanctuaries, which is home to almost all of Southern Africa’s big game as well as more than 300 bird species. But Ivory Tree offers much more than just game viewing. Activities for every taste allow you to have your perfect holiday.

Location

Ivory Tree Game Lodge is situated in the northeastern part of the Pilanesberg Game Reserve and is accessible through the Bakgatla Gate. No entry fees will be charged for guests driving directly to Ivory Tree lodge.

Directions:

From Johannesburg take the N4 towards Rustenburg and turn off onto the R556 towards Pilanesberg and Sun City. Travel about 80 km towards Sun City and look for the brown “Ivory Lodge” sign after the fourth four-way stop. Turn right towards Northam onto the R510. Follow the brown “Ivory Lodge” signs until you get to Bakgatla Gate and take the right hand entrance to the lodge.

The communal area of Ivory Tree Lodge was created around a large pool. Outdoor dining and a traditional boma allow you to soak up the balmy African nights. The inside areas provide a cosy space with clean designs and organic materials. The bar and cocktail lounge are good places to socialize with other guests and exchange stories from the bush.
