Up to eight adults and four children can enjoy all that Kubu Metsi Safari Lodge has to offer. Inspired by the resident hippo of Synite Dam, the lodge has a truly African feeling with thatched roofs, plenty of wood and natural tones. Unobtrusive electric fencing prevents larger animals from wandering through the property.

Each of the four suites comprises a bedroom, lounge and en suite bathroom. The suites are individually decorated and flooded with natural light. Kubu Metsi is also home to Kubu House, a free-standing self-contained unit with one bedroom, a kitchenette and living areas.

Activities
In addition to classic safari activities like game drives (for up to 10 passengers) and morning nature walks, Kubu Metsi also offers more unusual options like boules (pétanque) and soccer.

Kubu Metsi has plenty of choice to occupy you between game drives, including a boules court, a mini soccer field and a media room with a flat-screen TV and a full satellite bouquet (DStv). The gym and business centre are shared with two neighbouring lodges.

Location
The Black Rhino Game Reserve and lies in the western part of Pilanesberg National Park. It is home to most large mammal species of Southern Africa and a large variety of birds.
Directions:
Take the N4 out of Johannesburg and turn off onto the R556 towards Sun City. Pass Sun City and continue until you can take a right on the R565. Follow this road for 28km / 17mi until you get to the gate of Black Rhino Game Reserve. Check in at the gate and meet your pick-up.
